FAQ
What is matcha, exactly?
Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder made from specially grown and processed tea leaves. Unlike regular green tea, you consume the whole leaf, which means more antioxidants, more nutrients, and a richer experience.
Where is your matcha from
Our matcha is grown, harvested, and stone-ground in Japan, mainly in the Uji and Nishio regions, two areas renowned for their rich soil, clean water, and centuries of tea tradition. We work closely with small producers to ensure quality and traceability.
Is your matcha ceremonial grade ?
Yes. We only use ceremonial-grade matcha, which means itās made from the youngest, most tender leaves, shade-grown, hand-picked, and carefully ground to preserve taste, nutrients, and vibrant color.
How much caffeine is in matcha ?
A cup of matcha contains roughly 30ā70 mg of caffeine, depending on how much powder you use. Thanks to L-theanine, the effect is smoother and more stable than coffee, expect focused energy without the crash.
Why does my matcha taste bitter ?
Good matcha should never be harsh. Bitterness can come from low-quality matcha, using water thatās too hot, or incorrect measurements. Use water at 70ā80°C (160ā175°F) and follow our prep steps for the best taste.
Are your product vegan and gluten free ?
Absolutely. All of our matcha and ube powders are naturally vegan and gluten-free. Most of our blends and kits are too, check each product page for details.
